It is with immense pleasure and excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Walgrove Avenue Elementary School for Advanced Studies. I am truly honored to be joining this thriving and dedicated school community with such a rich legacy of success. I have heard wonderful things about the strong sense of community and the commitment to student success at Walgrove, and I am eager to begin working alongside all of you.
I believe that every student has the potential to excel, and am committed to providing a supportive and challenging learning experience for all. I will work to create a school where students feel safe, engaged, and inspired to learn. Our Wildlands, STEAM Studio, Edible Garden, newly adopted School for Advanced Studies, and theater program offer students abundant opportunities for exploration and growth.
For the past 20+ years, I have devoted my career to fostering environments where students feel valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. I began my journey in education as a classroom teacher in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade, later serving as a literacy coach and then an assistant principal. Additionally, I have taught at a University preparing new teachers for their careers. My focus throughout my career has been on socio-emotional learning, strengthening curriculum design and teaching strategies, and building strong school-family partnerships.
I believe deeply in the power of collaboration among teachers, staff, families, and the greater community to create meaningful learning experiences and foster a strong sense of belonging for every student. A close partnership between school and families is essential to student success, so I encourage you to stay actively involved in your child’s education and to reach out with any questions or concerns. I value and welcome open communication and collaboration. My work has always been guided by the principle that every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and celebrated.
As we look ahead to this school year, my vision is to build upon Walgrove’s rich traditions while exploring innovative ways to enhance learning and engagement. I will be listening closely to your hopes and ideas, and I welcome your input as we shape the future of our school together.
Thank you for warmly welcoming me into the Walgrove family. I look forward to meeting you at upcoming events, in classrooms, and around campus. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime with questions, suggestions, or simply to say hello. In closing, please know that my door is always open to you. Please feel free to email, call, or stop by anytime. I heartily welcome your conversation and positive input throughout this year. Let us always keep our students the primary focus of our work.
With great enthusiasm and gratitude,
Stacy Rajab
